The African Platform for Human Rights and Governance is a non-governmental organization established in January 2021 to champion the cause of human rights and good governance in Liberia, focusing on litigation, human rights education, legal review and reforms, and advocacy-based research. We strive to create positive and lasting change in the lives of individuals and communities in Liberia.
That all have a basic knowledge of the values of human rights, adequate legal representation, through advocacy, human rights education and legal reforms that will reflect the true meaning of the enjoyment of the rights by everyone regardless of race or creed.
To ensure that the culture of respect, promotion and the protection of human rights is realize based on the principles of democracy, accountability and respect for the rule of law

APHURG will host the following events to bring together community leadership, women and other marginalized group to create awareness around fundamentl human right and how citizens can take advantage to start claiming their rights and using the rule of law
On the 2nd of May 2024, APHURG will gather district leasdership to discuss issues arising from different forms of human rights violation and how to amicably resolve issues using the justice system
APHURG will hold a two day training workshop for young women in rural Montserrrado to take advantage of the justice system to address issues of concerns
